How To Download & Install Turbotax

How do I Download And install the TurboTax software for Windows Follow the steps below

If you downloaded your Turbo Tax software, simply double-click the downloaded file to launch the installer.

Make sure your computer meets the minimum system requirements.Verify that you have administrator rights on your computer and TurboTax is Running as Administrator:Right-click the TurboTax icon or setup icon, and select Properties. In the Compatibility tab, check the Run as Administrator box and click OK.

Try a different web browser

If nothing happens when you attempt to start your download, or if you see an error message, try using another web browser. Supported browsers include Firefox,Google Chrome, 

Internet Explorer, and Safari. There may be a temporary issue or incompatible setting with the browser you originally used that's preventing the download.

Check your antivirus software or firewall settings

Start by closing or turning off any firewall and virus-protection programs anti virus programs can and do block programs from installing

(remember to turn those back on after installation is complete). In certain cases, your antivirus software can block the download of a game or software. 

This is normal on most browsers, add to your list of trusted sites or allow downloads, if your browser displays a security warning. Also, make sure that your antivirus and spyware software are up-to-date.

All Games & Software Downloads go through a review process that includes virus and spyware scanning from the host provider. Storing infected files is illegal for any host provider in the United States and they simply wont allow it.Keep in mind 3rd party host providers use sophisticated commercial anti virus software that any simple store bought Anti Virus software cant compare.If your download is flagged as harmful, contact your anti-virus software publisher to report the false positive report so they can make the correct changes in there software ,as Anti Virus programs are not 100% accurate in detection and mistakes will be made by the Anti Virus Software. How do I print and mail a return in the TurboTax for Windows CD/Download software?

You can file a conventional paper return in TurboTax for Windows. You'll need:

  1. Open your return in TurboTax.
  2. Select the File tab, then Continue.
  3. On the next screen, E-file Your Federal Return for FREE, select File by mail near the bottom of your screen, then Continue.
  4. On the following screen, select which return(s) you want to print for mailing (federal and/or state).
  5. Continue following the instructions until you get to the Print Tax Return For Mailing screen.
    • On this screen, select Print Returns to Mail.
    • Then select Preview Print Copy in the pop-up window.
  6. Wait for TurboTax to generate your return in Adobe Reader.
  7. Once your return has opened in Adobe Reader, click the printer icon near the top to print.
  8. When finished, select Continue in TurboTax and follow any additional on-screen instructions.

The first page in your printout package will be the File by Mail Instructions, which will provide the mailing address and what forms, if any, you need to include.

Important: To prevent identity theft, we recommend that you mail your return from a post office or give it directly to your mail carrier.
